Naga View Adventist College (NVAC) library received a valuable donation of books from Dr. Stephen Guptil this school year, 2025-2026, during the first semester.
Dr. Guptil was the former President of the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS) from 2006 to 2019 and former Education Director of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD), during the first semester of School Year 2025โ2026.
Dr. Guptil, known for his passion for Christian education, continues his personal mission of supporting SSD educational institutions by providing books that enrich their libraries. His donation to NVAC includes religious, motivational, and reference books intended to inspire students toward academic and spiritual growth.
In his email to the college dated June 9, 2025, Dr. Guptil expressed his belief in the importance of reading in education, stating, โReading levels are the best indicators of academic success.โ
NVAC received the book shipments in three batches: the first box on August 13, the second on September 11, and the third on October 6, 2025.
The Library Department expressed heartfelt appreciation for the contribution.
โThese books will be a great help to the students of Naga View Adventist College in enhancing their learning and will encourage them to develop a love for reading,โ said Ms. Glaidel Ross Franche, NVAC librarian.
Through this thoughtful gesture, Dr. Guptil continues to impact Adventist education by fostering a culture of learning and faith among students.
