Naga View Adventist College celebrated its much-awaited 31st Intramurals 2025, a lively celebration of teamwork, friendship, and healthy competition under the theme โ€œLineage: Game of the Tribes on September 14-19, 2025.โ€

The week-long event brought the whole NVAC community together in the spirit of sportsmanship, highlighted by inspiring messages and thrilling games that everyone will surely remember.

The festivities opened with a warm and heartfelt message from former Vice President Leni Robredo, who fondly recalled her last visit to the campus back in 2012. She reminded the students of the value of heritage and encouraged them to build a legacy worth passing on. Her words set the tone for the games, fueling excitement and determination among the athletes.

The games were nothing short of intense. Each team poured out their best in every match, showing not only skill but also teamwork and dedication. The energy and cheers from the crowd were so strong that the games had to be extended by an extra day, just to ensure all matches could be played fairly. This only added more suspense as everyone eagerly awaited the final results.

The games included basketball, volleyball, softball, sepak takraw, kickball, patintero, frisbee, badminton, table tennis, 100 m dash, 200 m dash, 400 m relay, standing long jump, running long jump, shot put, javelin throw, discus throw, โ€˜sungkaโ€™, game of the generals, chess, word factory, and scrabble.

Meanwhile, the nightly activities included Liberty Night, Tribal Convocation (Talentsโ€™ Night), Diadem (King and Queen 2025), Assembly of Praise, and Feast of Merriment.

Other activities were the tribal strides (fun run), foot parade, yell, and the banner roll.

The said celebration also had its theme song for the very first time in history, titled โ€˜Our Lineage Strongโ€™, lyrics by Shiela Mae Delmo and Christopher Ray Pamis and music by Alpheus Jairus Reduta.

During the awarding ceremony, the moment everyone had been waiting for finally arrived. In the college division, the Blue Team (Reuben tribe) emerged as the Overall Champion, after a week of consistent performance. The Red Team (Zebulun tribe) claimed 1st runner-up, followed by the Violet Team (Gad tribe) as the 2nd runner, and the Green Team (Joseph tribe), 3rd runner-up.

Meanwhile, in the academy division, the competition among the โ€œTribes of Israelโ€ was equally fierce. The Violet Team (Benjamin tribe) rose to the top and was named Overall Champion, thanks to their unity and perseverance. The Blue Team (Naphtali tribe) secured 1st runner-up, the Green Team (Dan tribe) landed being the 2nd runner-up, and the Red Team (Judah tribe) finished being the 3rd runner-up.

To make the awarding even more special, Mr. Kenneth Sales, an NVAC alumnus, served as the guest speaker. He inspired the students by sharing how the values he learned from NVAC helped shape his journey beyond college, encouraging everyone to carry the same spirit of excellence and service in their own lives.

More than just a week of games, the NVAC Intramurals 2025 truly lived up to its theme, โ€œLineage.โ€ It reminded everyone that sports is not just about winning medals, but also about building friendships, strengthening community, and carrying forward a legacy of sportsmanship and unity.
